I rode 25km this morning as far as Seal Beach with Ken, Leanna and another friend of theirs.  It’s a Sunday for people living in the real world so they wanted to get the bikes out for a spin before heading back to work tomorrow.

I got the ferry over to Balboa Island to save me back tracking 5km as I missed a turn off and was caught at the end of a peninsula, the ferry ride was ten minutes and then there’s a bridge off the island back to the mainland.  Tonights camping was a Doheny State Beach where I had the biker section all to myself.  Most people finish the route in Los Angeles and fly out of LAX so there are a lot less bike tourers on the road between LA and Mexico.
